Search Committee Narrows Search for Next Clarke Principal

The Swampscott Search Committee consisting of Administrative personnel, Clarke teachers, Clarke parents, and Community members have selected three semi-finalists for the Clarke School Principal position. 

The finalists are:

BRUCE BLAU:  Bruce Blau is currently a consultant at the Teaching & Learning Alliance in Woburn, MA.  Prior to this position Bruce was an English Teacher at Loyola Comunidad Educativa in Mexico.  Bruce possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication/Philosophy from Boston College, a Teacher Certification in Elementary Education from East Carolina University, and a Master of School Administration from Plymouth State College.

DAVID BRADY:  David Brady is currently the principal at the Madeline English School in the Everett Public Schools.  He has served in this capacity since August 2012.  Prior to this position David was Asst. Principal for six years in Everett.  He has served in the Everett Public schools for twenty years.  Prior to administrative roles, he held a Guidance Counselor position at the elementary level.  David possesses a Bachelor of Science in Sports, Fitness and Leisure and a Mass. Certification in Physical Education from Salem State College, a Masters of Education in School Administration and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Cambridge College.

JENNIFER HUNT:  Jennifer Hunt is currently a first grade teacher at the Marguerite Peaslee Elementary School in the Northborough Public Schools.  She has 13 years of experience as an elementary school teacher of a fully inclusive classroom.  Jennifer possesses a Bachelor of Science from Worcester State University and a Master of School Administration from American International College.

Thurs., May 1st - Three semi-finalists will meet with Superintendent

Fri., May 9th - Instructional walk-thru @ Clarke School w/Ms. Angelakis, Superintendent, Mrs. Rivers, Hadley Principal, & Mrs. Longin, current Clarke Principal

Tues., May 13th - Community Interview/Forum at Clarke School, 100 Middlesex Ave. - 7:00 p.m.

Mon., May 19th & Tues., May 20th - Site Visits (times tbd)
