Phillips Beach Parking

It was extremely disheartening to see many cars with Swampscott Recreation Stickers slapped with parking violations for encroaching into the "Resident Only" parking zones around Phillips Beach on July 4th.  It was a truly glorious day and the current allotment of Rec sticker parking could not handle the crowd, so folks WHO ARE SWAMPSCOTT RESIDENTS had to park outside the zone.  This unfair and unnecessary parking restriction must be removed as soon as possible.  It was even more disappointing to see several cars WITHOUT STICKERS, some with out of state plates, illegally parked in other parts of the neighborhood, yet not tagged.  Are cars only tagged if it's obvious they're there to go to the beach?
