Letter to the Editor: Support Soldiers With Care Packages

The fundraiser is being organized by Spinale & Company.

Hi Everyone,

I'm writing to you today to ask for your help, I am currently organizing support packages to our troops overseas with the help of an online site called AnySolider.com. They provide soldier's contacts who are overseas and need supplies. I can speak first hand as a solider that receiving a piece of mail while away makes your day and takes your mind away from where you are for a lit...tle bit. My fiance was deployed for 14 long months, he would tell me time and time again what it meant to him and the other soldiers to wait at mail call and receive packages from home with goodies. Our clients at Spinale & Co. are outstanding with their generosity and  kindness so I know that with your help, so we can make this project a huge success.

How can you help?

Here are the items the soldiers are requesting:
letters, the best thing a solider can receive is our gratitude. All types of dried fruit, trailmix, energy bars, beef jerky, powdered drink mixes, hard candies. Personal hygiene items like shampoo, razors, deodorant. Also, beanie babies are really easy for the soldiers to carry with them and give to the local kids, they love them! These are better then small plastic toys which will break easily and are not as easy to carry in a pack.

Anything you donate, will be appreciated. Please feel free to drop off at the salon as I will be collecting items for the next 8 weeks. I will be putting the packages together for shipment to the soldiers for the holidays.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support,  And, thank you to Lisa and Dany for supporting me in this cause.

Sincerely,

Jenna Hurley
