Teen Poetry Contest Finalists Announced

The winners will be announced April 24, at an awards ceremony at the Swampscott Public Library.

The finalists have been announced for the Lee
Golomb Cadiff Teen Poetry Contest.  From the over 200 poems submitted, the
judges have selected the following finalists:

From Swampscott Middle School:

Will Cronin – grade 7, Alicia Fitzgerald – grade 8, Ryan Frauenholz –
grade 7, Emma Ghirardini – grade 8, Jackie Kostenko – grade 7, Fiorella
Moyse – grade 8, Megan Mentuck – grade 8, Zach Turner – grade 7, Charlotte
Westhoven – grade 7, and Nathan Young – grade 7.

From Swampscott High School:

Jessica Fagundo - grade 11, Olivia Forman - grade 9, Thomas McEnaney - grade
11, Phil Smith - grade 12, and Claire Weaver-Zeman - grade 10.

The finalists will all find out what prize they won at the Awards
Ceremony.  The Awards Ceremony will be Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00pm at
the Swampscott Public Library at 61 Burrill Street, 781-596-8867.  

The award winners will be reading their original poetry.  Dessert will be served.
The public is welcome.
