School Officials Honor a Senior With an Attitude — a Good One

Abigail Feldman received the Superintendent's Award at Wednesday's School Committee meeting.

Superintendent Lynne Celli honored a Swampscott High student on Wednesday for achievement and, especially, generosity.

Abigail is an honor roll student — ranked in the top 2 percent of her class.

She has taken silver and gold medals at foreign language competitions.

But the superintendent said her teachers and classmates know her as someone who leads by example and helps and encourages her classmates.

She is a role model — upbeat, respectful and helpful, the superintendent said.

School Committee and audience members gave Abigail a standing ovation.
