 2) Swampscott Scholars:  inducted 29 National Honor Society members on March 13. The society honors students for excellence in four areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. One of the 29 students was Movita Harrigan.

3) Swampscott Athletics: Swampscott/Marblehead Legion Baseball Junior Team 17 years old and under, will be holding a tryout on Sunday May 13 at 2 pm at Phillips Park in Swampscott. Both teams can only carry eighteen player, per team.  All players interested in playing must be at this tryout. This year both the junior and senior team has had an increase in potential players wishing to sign up. Anyone with questions should contact the Head Coach of the Junior team Gino Cresta at qrscresta@comcast.net  

 4) Weather Watch:  The National Weather Service is predicting a slight chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 53.
