Swampscott Little League will be having its annual parade Sunday, May 20th.

 

1) Newsbit of the Day: Swampscott Little League will be having its annual parade Sunday, May 20th.  The parade will begin at Hadley School in the Linscott Park area at 9 am sharp and will march up Redington Street to Forest Ave and will finish at the Forest Ave. fields behind the Swampscott Middle School. Once at the field, each manager will introduce their team, players, and coaches.  Come support the youth baseball players of Swampscott by attending the parade route and cheering the girls & boys on.  Swampscott Little League bumper stickers will also be made available to the public.

2) Swampscott Scholars:  inducted 29 National Honor Society members this year. The society honors students for excellence in four areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. One of the 29 students was Lauren Rubin.

3) Swampscott Athletics: The girls and boys track teams are scheduled to line up against Marblehead today at 4 pm on Upper Jackson behind.

4) Weather Watch:  The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 67.
