Girls Night Out

Local women authors will share their secrets to writing on Thursday, Nov. 17, 6 pm at Kernwood Country Club in Salem as part of the JCC’s Jewish Book Month series.

Ellen Frankel of Marblehead and Dale Stanten and Wendy Polins of Swampscott will talk about the trials and tribulations of writing, along with moderator Phyllis Karas, a best-selling author from .  You’ll love the shopping boutiques, cocktails and delicious dinner.

  • Kiddie Hoops:  Kids ages 3&4 and 5&6 learn
    basketball concepts such as passing, dribbling, lay-ups, defense, rebounding and
    more! Sundays at 10:15am (ages 3&4) and 11:00am (ages 5&6).
  • Shooting Guard Camp: Kids ages 7-13 will learn
    shooting form, how to use screens, how to create space for your shot and how to
    get your shot off quicker. Baskets are lowered for 7-8 year olds. Sundays
    at 12:00pm (ages 12-13), 1:00pm (ages 9-11) and 2:00pm (ages 7-8).

Tennis for Kids

Serve up fun for your kids with JCC tennis coach Sharen Solomon! Children will play indoors with smaller nets and tennis balls with less bounce, to improve hand-eye coordination. Classes run Mondays.

  • Grades 2-4: 4:00-4:40pm

Fall Festival Big Fun

More than 150 families enjoyed the JCC’s FREE Early Childhood Fall Festival, with pumpkin painting, glitter art, hula hoop & dance contests, gym fun and a delicious pizza dinner. Don’t forget the donut on a string, game! The J is planning lots more family events throughout the winter. Stay tuned!

JCC Story & Music Hour at Wit & Whimsy

Early Childhood teachers will lead a fun Story Hour with Music by Marcy at
Abbot Library on Pleasant St. in Marblehead on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 10:15am.
