The JCC has launched its new Passport to Fitness program! All new and current members can stop by the Member Services window to pick up their cool Passport to Fitness. Everyone’s invited to the JCC’s Fall Fitness Expo on Sunday, Oct. 14th 10:00am to 12:00pm and again 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Tour our Fitness Stations, including

JCC Story Hours in Marblehead & Swampscott

We’re taking our show on the road! Tell your friends about the upcoming JCC
Story & Music Hour
at Wit & Whimsy Bookstore in Marblehead on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 10:00am. We’ll read a fun fall story and sing along with popular children’s performer Marcy Yellin.

Then, everyone’s welcome to our Story & Family Fitness Hour at the Swampscott Library on Friday, Oct. 19, at 10:30am. We’ll read stories

Marblehead Mother & Daughter Take Top Honors in Olympic Challenge

Marblehead mother and daughter, Lyudmila and Alina Freger, take top honors in the JCC’s Go For the Gold challenge. In the six-week competition, JCC members scored points by taking Group Exercise classes, logging Fitness Center workouts and more.  Alina won the Gold Medal, her mother Lyudmila the Silver and Marblehead’s Theresa Dever picked up the Bronze.  The three victorious women won prizes, too…  a new iPad, Kindle and iPod. Congratulations!

Get Your Kids Moving this Fall!

It's not too late! Sign up your kids for these fabulous fall fitness classes.

  • Zumbatomic - Kids have a blast dancing to popular music
         while getting fit and staying strong! Mondays, 3:15pm
  • Urban Rebounders Kids - If your children love to jump on the bed (or
         couch, or chairs!), they'll love Urban Rebounders, where they jump on
         mini-trampolines to upbeat music! It's a great workout, but they won't
         know it! Thursdays, 3:15pm
  • Drums Alive Kids Beat - Children love drumming on exercise balls to
         dance music! Tuesdays, 4:00pm
  • Kick & Pump - Learn kickboxing and weight-lifting techniques in this fun self-defense class for kids ages 10-14. Mondays, 5:00pm

Find Adventure on the Hill

There's lots of buzz around Adventure on the Hill, our fabulous after-school program. Dozens of families are now taking advantage of our enriching classes.

We pick up students in grades K-8 at local schools and bring them back to the
Hill for an afternoon of fun, learning and play! There's still room in these
exciting classes:

  • Swimming
  • Sports Club
  • Music, Music, Music
  • Stem Investigators (Science, Engineering, Technology & Math!)
  • Creative Chefs
  • Art Box

Pizza in the Hut

You're invited to Pizza in the Hut in the JCC Sukkah. Enjoy dinner, dessert and
fun activities. Rabbi Fine with Temple Sinai will be here, too!
Thursday, Oct. 4, 5:00-7:00pm. $5 per adult, $3 per child. We'll be collecting
food for the JF&CS Family Table (a food bank), so please bring a
non-perishable item.

Live Like You Mean It!

The JCC is proud to launch its new intergenerational program, Senior
Shabbat Program & Luncheon
the last Friday of every month.

  • 10:00am  Share a brief Shabbat service with JCC preschoolers
  • 10:45am Join an education program
  • 11:00am Free luncheon
