Turkey Talk Leads to Stop & Shop

We’re talking turkey for our first article on holiday-related deals.

Barring misfortune to one of the wild birds that strut in town you’re not likely to find a better deal on turkey than Stop & Shop’s deal.

The store is selling Shady Farm frozen birds averaging 10-20 pounds for 58 cents a pound.

There’s a limit to one per customer. And you must make a purchase of $25, but that can include the price of the turkey.

So, for the mainstay of the T-Day table, Stop & Shop at the Swampscott Mall looks like a winner.

The supermarket’s promotion also says that the store will match any competitor’s turkey coupon or turkey price.

The store has deals on bags of potatoes and onions and on canned vegetables, too.

Stop & Shop is located on Paradise Road.

Wild turkeys can be found in several spots in town.
