Steven Tyler and Joe Perry Perform Special Rendition of 'Dream On' for Boston

Accompanied by the Southern California Children's Chorus, the song was a tribute to the city on the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, accompanied by the Southern California Children's Chorus, performed Aerosmith's classic ballad "Dream On" in a one-year anniversary tribute to the people of Boston.

The Boston natives recorded a special arrangement for the ESPN special ‘‘Dream On: Stories from Boston’s Strongest’’ that aired Saturday and Tuesday, the anniversary of the Boston Marathon attack, on ESPN. Three people died and hundreds were injured in the bombings.

Porch light on? Why don't you just make a donation in his name? Something that will actually help something or someone.

Why so harsh? One is not mutually exclusive of the other! This is but another way for friends and his hometown to remember him. http://tewksbury.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/residents-asked-to-shine-a-light-for-sean-collier-one-year-after-his-death!

Because if you can get 10 or 100 or 1000 people to join in something, why not maximize their efforts and volunteer to create a memorial or clean up a park and donate a bench or donate something to the MIT police rather than just flipping a switch. Not an attack on you, I guess I just see it as creating more of a personal feeling of satisfaction rather than actual giving.
