The Swampscott Police Association's Holiday Parade is still scheduled for tonight at 6 p.m., SPA President Ted Delano said on Friday.

Patch will report any changes to the plans. A snowstorm is projected to start in earnest late Saturday night around midnight and continue until about 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

The parade route starts at Swampscott High, travels from Essex to Vinnin, Vinnin to Salem Street, Salem Street to Humphrey Street, Humphrey Street to Burrill Street, Burrill Street to Essex Street and ending at Swampscott High.

Parade participants have to be at SHS by 5:30 p.m.

The SPA has again partnered with Toys for Local Children to try to fulfill toy requests from the community. In past years the members have filled a donated UHAUL with toys.

This year they are asking that residents bring a toy to the parade and give it to any police officer volunteering their time for the parade.

They will also be accepting toys for TLC at the Police Station at 531 Humphrey St from now until Christmas.

As in years past, the Association does accept donations to defray the cost of the parade. If you would like to donate to the Swampscott Police Association please mail your donation to the SPA at 531 Humphrey St.,  Swampscott, MA 01907.
