Join Girl Scouts!

A new school year has begun, and with it - a new and exciting year of Girl Scouts!

The Girl Scouts of Ocean Bay, comprised of Swampscott and Nahant girls entering grades K-12 this fall, invites all girls interested in scouting to visit our tent at the Swampscott Farmer's Market on Sunday, September 15th between 10-1 to learn more about the great experiences that await them!
Each year, girls participate in the Girl Scout program in a number of ways. Girls can experience being a Scout with their troop, a group of girls their own age led by parent volunteers. Girls also interact with other Scouts from Swampscott & Nahant at neighborhood sponsored events, like a Square Dance, Holiday Cookie Exchange and Tea Party, in addition to community service projects, like a Trick or Treat Food Drive! We'll even take a town-wide camping trip in the spring of 2014. Outside of our community, girls are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Eastern MA Council, like a night at the Celtics or an overnight at the Museum of Science! Girls in high school can even apply to 'Destinations', trips sponsored by Girl Scouts that take them all over the country, even the world!
It's the start of a new year, and it's a great time to join in on the fun!
