GUIDED TOURS OF THE SWAMPSCOTT TOWN HALL, FORMER HOME OF PROFESSOR ELIHU THOMSON

The Swampscott Historical Commission will be hosting Guided Tours of the Swampscott Town Hall, former home of Professor Elihu Thomson, located at 22 Monument Ave, Swampscott, on Saturday September 21, 2013 from 12 PM to 4 PM.  Come and learn about Professor Elihu Thomson inventor, scientist and co-founder of General Electric.  Get a chance to explore this house which is the centerpiece of the Olmsted Historic District.  The event is one of many organized in conjuction with the Essex National Heritage Commission's Trails and Sails Weekends.  This annual celebration of the historic, cultural and national treasures found in the Essex National Heritage Area attract thousands every year.
