CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE AT UUCGL

Join the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn (UUCGL) in celebrating Christmas Eve at their Candlelight Service at 5:30 pm, December 24.

The Service will feature interfaith readings such as “The Christmas Story” from the Bible, Luke 2:1-20 and “The Birth of Jesus” from the Quran 19:22-23. In addition there will be a reading of “’Twas the night before Christmas” written by Unitarian Clement C. Moore.

They’ll have traditional sing along Christmas carols as well as some special pieces of music – a 12th-century chant written by Hildegard of Bingen, performed by soprano soloist and UUCGL choral scholar, Barbara Hill Meyers, and a 16th-century anthem by Tomas Luis de Victoria, one of the great Spanish composers of the Renaissance.
