Adventures Cross-Country Introduces Summer 2014 Teen Service Learning Programs Jan. 27 at Marblehead’s Abbott Public Library

Teens
tired of summer camp and uninspired by the
prospects of another family bonding
vacation need not despair.



 



Help
is on the way. A company that has been in the business of exploring new worlds
and vistas with teens is coming to town and they are gearing up for their
summer 2014 program. Since 1983, Adventures Cross-Country (ARCC) has offered
opportunities for students ages 13 to 18 packed with adventure, community
service and language immersion.

Adventures

/) the leading provider of domestic and international travel with a purpose,
has taken its show on the road. They will be spotlighting a lineup of 25
programs on six continents being offered this summer.

Adventures
Cross-Country will introduce its programs to interested teens and parents from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, at Abbot
Public Library at 235 Pleasant Street in Marblehead
.



 



The
60-minute program is free and open to the public. A question-answer period will
follow the presentation, giving families the opportunity to dive deeper into Adventures
Cross-Country programs.



 



Founded
in 1983, its programs are designed for students currently in 7-12 grades who want
a summer experience that combines trying new activities, exploring new locations,
experiencing the independence of traveling with a small group of peers,
conquering new challenges and giving back to communities around the world.
ARCC’s mission is to provide unique, life changing, educational experiences for
students in places rarely visited and situations seldom experienced.



 



ARCC
also offers an educational and cultural bridge between high school and college
with its Gap Semester programs in Africa, Asia and Latin
America.
