2014 International Food Fair

The 30th Annual International Food Fair will be held at The First Church on Saturday, February 1st  from 11 am to 2:00 pm.  All proceeds from the event benefit Habitat for Humanity.  The First Church in Swampscott was the first church to covenant with a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.  We take this commitment very seriously and with a great deal of pride.

Funds raised at this event will help build much needed homes, both on the North Shore and internationally.   Two-thirds of the proceeds of this fair will go to Habitat for Humanity-North Shore and one-third of the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity-International.   There are some very interesting projects ongoing in Peabody, Danvers, Salem, and Lynn.

The Food Fair has become a highly anticipated and exciting event in the life of this community.  We are thrilled to have a number of local churches and organizations who partner with The First Church to make this a continued success.  We delight in the opportunity to come together each year for this dynamic event.  We relish the opportunity to meet some of the local Habitat homeowners, and those who staff this wonderful organization through the North Shore affiliate.

We have some new countries and regions offering food and drink this year, as well as some exciting silent auction prizes (Red Sox opening day tickets, a sail on a Marblehead yacht, a plethora of restaurant gift certificates, and who wouldn't want to buy My  Pillow@, to name just a few).  Please come and visit with friends, enjoy foods from around the world, and take part in an exciting Silent Auction.
