Wind Advisory in Effect Tonight

Strong and possibly damaging winds are expected along the Massachusetts coast from late tonight until early tomorrow morning.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for much of the New England coast tonight, including.

Periods of strong and potentially damaging southerly winds will occur tonight as an intensifying storm system moves through the upper east coast.

The strongest gusts could reach up to 50 mph, according to the NWS. Storm impacts could include downed power lines and isolated power outages.

The wind advisory will remain in effect from 9 p.m. tonight through 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
