VIDEO: Local Officials Prepare For Sept. 11

North Shore officials are preparing services and memorials to remember those killed in the attacks.

Town and city officials across the North Shore are preparing to remember the 10-year anniversary of September 11, this weekend. 

From memorials being built to services being planned, the North Shore will remember those killed in the attacks. 

Churches and temples in Swampscott will remember the victims and families of the 9/11 attacks.

These ceremonies will include a peace tree blessing at an outdoor Mass. The tree will be planted in memory of Robert Jalbert, 61, a Swampscott man and member of St. John Church who was aboard United Flight 175 on 9/11.

The outdoor Mass begins Sunday at 11 a.m., followed by the peace tree dedication and a cookout.
