Town Goes Casually GaGa Over Boston Bruins

Workers held a casual day Monday wearing Bruins attire as the B's returned home for their Stanley Cup drive.

Lianne Belkas of the town Health Department loves the sound of many Bruins' names.

Milan Lucic, Tuukka Rask, among them. Then there's David Krejci, Brad Marchand and Zdeno Charra.

It's the sound of music.

Especially when their shots, saves and checks bring the team closer to another Stanley Cup.

On Monday, Town Hall employees wore Bruins jerseys, some of them with players' names on the back.

With or without names on the shirts, the black and gold colors showed the Town Hall crew's allegiance to the Bruins.

Typically, the employees donate $1 to take part in a casual attire day — maybe the theme is the Red Sox, or crazy hats or maybe a slippers — and donate $2 if they choose not to join the fun.

The B's are battling the Chicago Black Hawks in the Stanley Cup Finals, bringing exciting play to living rooms all over New England and next-day chatter to job sites.

As of Monday afternoon, the series has resulted in two overtime games, each team winning one.

And the workers were looking forward to Monday night's match-up, and hearing those names and a Bruins' victory.

In the end they heard the names Paille and Bergeron and Tuukka Rask. And they heard that the Bruins won the game — in regulation, no less — 2-0.

The Bruins now lead the series 2-1 with the next game Wednesday night.
