The Bruins began partnering with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) and the Massachusetts Library System two years ago.

Together the organizations have developed "When you read, you score" that works with the MBLC and Regional Library Systems' existing summer reading programs to encourage children and teens to read a variety of books over the summer — including those recommended by Bruins Milan Lucic, Mark Recchi, Michael Ryder, Mark Stuart, Tim Thomas- and offers participants the chance to win various Boston Bruins prizes.
