Every year, the IVY Program invites friends from Transitional Programs in neighboring towns to celebrate the season and give thanks.

This year, The Lynn Transitional Program and Marblehead Transitional Program joined the IVY Thanksgiving Feast.  Staff and students alike enjoyed participating in ice breaker activities that helped us to get to know our neighbors.

“I was surprised at how much we had in common," said Kaitlyn, one of the students.

Of special note this year is the Give Thanks Cookbook, a collaboration of Swampscott, Marblehead, Lynn, and Bass River.

Students from each of the programs contributed easy, fun recipes that take 15 minutes or less to prepare.

Students in the IVY Program tested some of the recipes through our Top Chef Bake-Offs and then copied, assembled, and decorated the cookbooks.

Cookbooks are available for $5 and all proceeds will be donated to My Brothers Table.

“It’s nice to help others” commented Briana, a student in the IVY Program.
