Social Media Saturday

The Swampscott Public Library's website has brains and beauty. It is both informative and attractive.

We turn our attention this week to a local website and the latest Swampscott Patch facebook poll.

Your Town on the Web:

For patrons and prospective patrons the library's website is a trove of information about upcoming events for adults and children as well as library services.

It's well put together, too.

We've touted this one before. The newer posts are only a few but it includes some interesting older posts.

Swampscott Patch Facebook Poll:

A poll earlier in the week on the country's relative safety went nowhere, so, later in the week, we posted another one.

It asked if you supported the president's proposal to put people to work and reduce the nation's 9.1 percent unemployment rate.

Do you support the president's plan to create jobs, the American Jobs Act?

Seven people said Yes.

Nobody said No.
