Snow Conflict and Drunk Roommates

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police logs. Where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Feb. 9

  • At 9:02 a.m., police received a report of a carbon monoxide alarm at a Dory Way home. The Fire Department handled the response. 
  • At 9:13 a.m., a Puritan Road caller reported that the ocean had breached her basement door and her basement was flooding. The Fire Department was notified.  
  • At 9:49 a.m., a caller reported that fences were down by the Beach Club.
  • At 11 a.m., a caller reported that DiLisio Road was impassable.  
  • At 12:01 p.m., a caller reported that water was streaming down a hill and there was a possible water main break on Banks Terrace. 
  • At 12:30 p.m., a Duncan Terrace caller reported that a plow driver had pushed snow up against her window.
  • At 1:20 p.m., a Curry Circle caller reported that the street had not been plowed. 
  • At 6:07 p.m, a caller reported that a man wearing a yellow jacket was swearing and acting aggressive on Burrill Street at Railroad Avenue.
  • At 7:30 p.m., a caller reported an accident with a salt truck by the C&L Package Store. No injuries were reported.

 Sunday, Feb. 10

  • At 3:07 a.m., a caller at an apartment on Paradise Road said that his roommates were drunk and swearing at him. He did not feel safe.  
  • At 9:14 a.m., police received a report that an elderly woman was stuck in a snowbank at Bay View Drive and Millett Road. 
  • At 10:03 a.m., police received a call reporting an open man-hole cover on Salem Road. 
  • At 10:22 a.m., police received a report that a party was stuck in a snowbank at Didio Drive and Longwood Drive.
  • At 10:37 a.m., police received a report that two motorists were arguing in the street on Salem Street. 
  • At 3:43 p.m., a caller asked police to remove a stepdaughter from a Hillcrest Circle residence. There had been a verbal dispute. 
  • At 5:44 p.m., police arrested Daniel Levin, 17, of 83 Robert Road in Marblehead, charging him with operating a vehicle with a suspended license and speeding. The driver was stopped at 174 Humphrey St.  
  • At 7 p.m., a Nason Road caller reported having an argument with a plow truck driver who was plowing her neighbor's driveway. The caller asked for a police officer to keep the peace.
