Search for Missing Kayaker Underway
The kayaker was due in at Fisherman's Beach about 5:30 p.m, according to police.
The Coast Guard, police and firefighters are searching for a kayaker along the shore in Swampscott and surrounding towns.
The kayaker was due in at about 5:30 p.m., said Lt. Tom Stevens.

A Coast Guard helicopter with a search light has been flying along the shore looking for the kayaker. The helicopter was still searching as of 8 p.m.
Police, including officers from Swampscott, Lynn and Nahant, and firefighters are invoved in the search, as well, he said.
