Question: People were curious about the yellow caution tape outside the selectmen's room at .

Answer: We talked to several people about the caution tape. To Town Administrator Andrew Maylor, Public Works Director Gino Cresta and Historical Commission Chairman Jean Reardon.

The tape is cordoning off an area that was cleared about two weeks ago and spread with grass seed.

"I had a contractor and the DPW staff clear the former rose garden so that it can be replanted (in the spring) in an appropriate way incorporating the thoughts of the historical commission," the town administrator said.

Historical Commission members are excited about the prospect of a restored rose garden with a bench to sit on and enjoy the garden.

A rose garden once bloomed on the property when it was the Elihu Thomson Estate.
