Books for our numerous book discussion groups are constantly flying off the shelf at the .

The Next Generation book group which meets on the last Monday of the
month is reading Please Look After Mom by Kyung-Sook Shin.

This is the story of Park So-nyo, a mother, who goes missing in a crowded train station. The reader follows along as the family search for their missing mother.

Through the voices of her daughter, her son, her husband and herself, we get
acquainted with this woman who is truly loved by her family.

The “Afternoon Tea and Books” book group are reading Pictures of You by
Caroline Leavitt. This is a story of two married women who are trying to
escape from their marriages.

On a foggy night, they meet on a road and after an accident only one survives.  

This is a tale of forgiveness, both forgiveness from others and forgiveness of self.

The Dinner Detectives are reading books with Senior Sleuths as the main character.  

Of course on the reading list for this month one would find Miss Marple by Christie, James Quilleran stories by Lillian Jackson Braun, Dorothy Martin stories by Jeanne Dams, Aunt Dimity by Nancy Atherton and Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman.

The Popular Titles book group which will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 22,
will discuss The Postmistress by Sarah Blake.

This story revolves around the lives of women who lived during World War II. Iris is the postmistress in Franklin, MA and Frankie Bard is a journalist who is
covering the bombings in London.

The story develops and the reader discovers how the lives of these two women become connected.
