New Patch Feature: Equal Time For Kitty

Each week Swampscott Patch will present a video of a pet up for adoption at the Marblehead Animal Shelter.

Dogs get their due at North Shore and Merrimack Valley Patches.

We here at Swampscott Patch want to give cats their due, too.

To that end we will post a video from the Marblehead Animal Shelter each week.

Since most of the animals sprung from cages on Village Street are cats, it's cats we will be profiling — and trying to add to the sprung numbers.

From what we've seen and heard the shelter has some outstanding cats and terrific cat stories.

As of late last week there were about 15 of them at the shelter, among them Axel, Henry Blanc and couple of kitties born in a woodchuck hole.

For more information visit online at www.marblehead-animal-shelter.org or in person at 44 Village Street, Marblehead.

The shelter is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 4-6:30 pm, Fridays 5-7 pm, Saturdays 12-6:30 pm and Sundays from 12 -4 pm. For more information, call 781 631-8664.

Looks like ETK will debut on Tuesday.

It's equal time for kitty cause she ain't no dog — bow-wow-wow-wow.
