As you've probably heard, Seinfeld creator and HBO star Larry David has been busy filming his new movie Clear History in locations along the North Shore this fall, including Beverly and North Andover.

At their meeting at Abbot Hall Wednesday night, Police Chief Robert Picariello appeared before Marblehead's Board of Selectmen to discuss a one-day shoot planned for Thompson Road next week.

No such request has come to Swampscott.

We asked Town Administrator Tom Younger if the town had heard from the Larry David people about any filming in Swampscott.

He has not heard from them, he said.

In Marblehead, as was the case when Columbia Pictures crews requested permission to film the majority of Grown Ups 2 in town over the summer, board members enthusiastically approved HBO Films' request Wednesday night.

According to the Selectmen, films crews will be arriving in Marblehead on either Oct. 29 or Oct. 30 and will be staging their vehicles at Devereux Beach.

While filming is taking place, no parking will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on sections of Elizabeth Road, Thompson Road and Sheldon Road.

Stars in the film include David, Eva Mendes, Jon Hamm and Kate Hudson.

The plot of the film centers around a man — played by David — who quits his job at an electric car company. The company then skyrockets and is worth billions, and David's character is left with nothing. He later moves to a remote Massachusetts island and discovers his former boss — played by Jon Hamm —is renovating a home nearby, and David's character plots revenge.
