Ice Could Accumulate Monday Morning

Freezing rain and sleet could accumulate locally on Monday morning before a changeover to all rain.

For the , the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory.

The advisory is in effect on Monday from 5 a.m. and 11 a.m.  and was prompted by the possibility for freezing rain on Monday morning on the North Shore.

Up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain and sleet could accumulate on Monday morning before a changeover to all rain by midday, the weather service said in its advisory issued on Sunday at 2:28 p.m.

The weather service warned that untreated roads and sidewalks will be slippery on Monday morning before the precipitation changes to all rain.
