Historical Photo: Then and Now

Congratulations to Whisky Wolinsky. Whisky's answer, 1918, was the closest of the responses we received for the last Then and Now contest.

The historical photograph came to us from Gail MacGregor. Thank you, Gail.

Her photo comes from 1920, and it's of a Swampscott Woman's Club theater group that her Grandmother Winnie Baxter Odiorne belonged to, Gail said.

Her grandmother's name is written on her skirt in the front row. The plays were usually performed at the Old Town Hall or the Ionic Club as Gail remembers being told, she said.

If anyone has a historic Swampscott photo that they would like to see in our contest we would be happy to run it.

This contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older. To enter, just submit your answer in the comments section below.
