Global War on Terror Monument Fundraiser June 16

The entire community is invited to attend a fundraiser for a monument honoring our residents who serve in the Global War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The fundraiser will be held this Saturday June 16, 7-11 pm at the Italian Club hall on Burpee Terrace in Swampscott.  Party goers will enjoy food, music and raffles, as well as the company of veteran families and townspeople, officials, friends and neighbors. 

Stay all night or come say hello!  The committee hopes this will be a truely festive occaision with many in attendance to show their support.

The ticket price is $20. per ticket or $30. for a pair.  They can be purchased at the Swampscott Public Library, from committee members or at the door. 

Auction donations are welcomed.  Anyone who can donate goods, services or gift certificates is encouraged to send them to the Veterans Office, Town Hall, Monument Ave. in Swampscott, 01907, or call 781-596-8853. 

People are encouraged to promote their business, large or small, by donating a gift certificate, while showing your support to those who serve. 

Cash donations are also appreciated, contributing to making the monument a reality by Veterans' Day.
