Free Bootie and Find a Kingly Kitty

Visit him at the Marblehead Animal Shelter and remember to keep your kitties inside the house on these freezing cold days.

Say hi to Bootie.

Or should we say kneel.

After all, this buff short hair has a regal air about him, a dignified and refined quality.

Not so dignified that he won't leap atop a tub, crank his neck around and lap the leaking faucet.

But to Bootie, who is 3 or 4 years old, the faucet is a fountain, a grail, a vessel.

For all his regal bloodlines Bootie with the light pink nose was a stray.

He was in distress and rescued by a beautiful young lady.

She set up a temporary kingdom for him in her garage and cared for him until she could get him into the Marblehead no-kill shelter.

She carried him into the shelter, his great train of tail trailing, his head nodding to his subjects.

After all, Bootie is a friendly fellow even though he has been out on his own for a very long time.

He is in excellent health and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

He does have some tiny black spots on his ears. The vet explained they were from frostbite.

Bootie maintains they are beauty marks, angel kisses.

Bootie had to have a family at one time because he is friendly. He is hoping to find a new warm home, and to never be banished.

A home. a home, a kingdom for a home.
