The town Harbor Festival plans to include a concert by 10 live bands June 23, at Fisherman's Beach. The Swampscott Public Library will seek permission for this event by applying to selectmen on Wednesday for an entertainment permit.

2) Swampscott Scholars:  UMass Dartmouth student Nicholas Russo has been named to the Chancellor's List in recognition of earning a fall semester grade point average of 3.8 or higher of a possible 4.0

3) Swampscott Athletics: Registration for Spring 2012 Intramural Youth Soccer, ages U5-U9 is underway.  Only a few weeks left. Please visit www.swampscottsoccer.com to register today.  Registration will remain open until March 31st and is still only $65.  A brief, non-guaranteed "late" registration period ($90 fee) will run from April 1st to April 7th (if we are unable to place your child on a team your registration fee will be refunded).  No registrations will be accepted after April 7th.
