1) Newsbit of the Day: It's a common question: When will the town wrap up its selection of a town administrator? Selectman Jill Sullivan said last week that she gets asked the question four or five times a day. 

The board will take steps toward answering the question next week when they interview three or four candidates on Monday and Wednesday. These interviews, Feb. 27 and Feb. 29, will be conducted in public.

2) Swampscott Scholars: Swampscott resident Kirstin Vinal, a  sophomore criminal justice major at Stonehill College in Easton, received a $2,500 J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Scholarship from the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation. Stonehill College alumnus Paul Daly '62, who was an FBI agent for 32 years, presented the scholarship to Vinal in a recent visit back to campus.

4) Weather Watch: Sunny. National Weather Service forecasters predict a sunny day with a high near 43.

5) Tide Watch: Today's low tide at Fisherman's Beach is 4:19 am (-.13 ft). High tide is 10:40 am (10:12 ft). The sun will rise at 6:32 am and set at 5:22 pm.
