Finance Committee Seeks Two New Members

Chairman Michael McClung resigned after five years on the committee.

 

Selectman Jill Sullivan announced at the last selectmen's meeting that there are now two vacancies on the town's Finance Committee.

Anyone interested in serving should contact a selectman, she said.

Chairman Michael McClung resigned after the Special Town Meeting earlier this month. 

The new chairman is Don Pinkerton, the committee's former vice chairman.

Also at the last selectman's meeting Selectman Glenn Kessler announced that the Farmer's Market would be back next year with many of the vendors it had this year. He thanked the volunteers who made the Farmer's Market's first year a success.

Vice Chairman David Van Dam announced that the town's War Memorial would be unveiled Veterans' Day on Nov. 11.

The town is gathering names to place on the memorial now.

Van Dam said if someone had not contacted a veteran or the family of a veteran about having their name on the memorial, they should contact the Town Administrator.
