Birds And Boats At The Beach

Here's a look around Fisherman's Beach around 6 pm Thursday. Then another look closer to sunset about an hour later.

The sun is already getting lower earlier in the evening and there are fewer people at the beach.

More birds than people. Sparrows picking over stacked lobster pots for bits of bait.

A big seagull pecking and defending what remained of a tattered gray fish at the waterline.

A gull perched on a light pole and some small dark birds with big beaks setting high above, atop the Fish House's cod weathervane.

A few sail boats glided among the moored boats in the harbor and one of those pontoon party boats stopped at the main float at the end of the pier before resuming its cruise.
