The forecast for Saturday and Sunday looks good. 

The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny Saturday and a sunny Sunday, temperatures in the mid- to high-60s.

Here are some ideas to get out and about.

1. Walk and See a Memorial

Where/When: At the King's Beach walkway, Swampscott Middle School students will place handmade paper wreaths in memory of the victims of 9/11.

The wreaths will be placed at the site Friday afternoon and remain over the weekend.

Why Go: To see the memorial.

2. Watch Soccer

Where/When: The girls' varsity soccer team plays its first game of the year Friday at 3:45 pm at the high school vs. Triton Regional High School. 

Why Go: To see some soccer and root for the home team.

3. Get your Car Washed

Where/When: DPW Garage at 200 Paradise Road starting at 9 am on Saturday.

Why Go: To support the Swampscott High School Class of 2014. Class members will be washing cars.

4. Dedicate Bondelevitch Way

Where/When: An unveiling ceremony for a street sign dedicated to Stan Bondelevitch will take place at 10 am Saturday at the entrance to Phillips Park between the tennis courts and the Bertram House.

Why Go: To recognize and remember a supreme motivator who was instrumental in establishing the Big Blue athletic tradition.

5. Cheer for Big Blue Football

Where/When: Blocksidge Field at Phillips Park on Saturday at 12 pm.

Why Go: To see Coach Steve Dembowski's team play its first game of the season. The Blue play Somerville High School — another ranked football team.

6. Pause and Reflect on 9/11

Where/When: Anywhere. Any time. Sunday.

Why: To remember the victims and their families.
