It was 11 years ago that the September 11 attacks took place, killing 2,977 victims, among them Robert Jalbert, 61, of Swampscott.

 

1) Newsbit of the Day:  It was 11 years ago today that the September 11 attacks killed 2,977 victims, among them Robert Jalbert, 61, of Swampscott. Swampscott firefighters will hold a remembrance ceremony for the many firefighters and others lost in the attacks. The ceremony will be by the flagpole at the  at 9:55 am.

2) Swampscott Scholars: SHS Class of 2012 graduate Catherine Xiong received a scholarship from the Swampscott Arts Association Scholarship.
