5 Things You Need to Know Today: Jan 18

Snow, rain and renewable energy.

Today is Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011. Here are five things for a Swampscott person to know.

1) An umbrella and boots day — Rain is expected to alternate with snow. Possible accumulation of 1 to 2-inches of snow.

2) Tide watch — Walkers and wave watchers take note. High tide is 9:21 a.m. (10.11 feet); and low tide is 3:55 p.m. (-0.67 feet).
