5 Things to Know: Local Family Rallying For Syria
The rally and march is scheduled for March 16 in Boston.
1) Town and School Meeting Watch: Tonight the Board of Health is scheduled to meet at 6: 15 p.m. Town Hall. Agenda items include talks on exterior paint removal, sanding and abrasive blasting.
2) Newsbit of the Day: The Khatib family of Swampscott invites friends, neighbors and other residents to join them Saturday March 16th for the Boston March for Syria to commemorate the second anniversary of the Syrian revolution. The rally and march is from 1 to 3 p.m. starting with the rally at Copley Square followed by a march to Faneuil hall.

4) Weather Watch: A chance of flurries after 10 am. Increasing clouds, with a high near 35. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
5) Big Blue Watch: The Northeastern Conference girls' and boys' all-star games will take place Friday, Feb. 22, at Swampscott High. The girls play at 6 p.m.; and the boys play at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. No passes accepted.
