It's New Year's weekend and what does that mean? Food, fun and a dip in the Atlantic? Here are 5 things to do this weekend in town:
1. Go for a Dip - The Swampscott Yacht Club will host their annual Registration is at 10:15 am, Polar Plunge at 11:00 am. There will be hot chocolate!
2. Go for a Run - Want to start the year with a brisk run? Meet at Old Town Hall in Salem at 10 a.m. Sunday for a Frosty Four mile run. Entry is $25.

3. Order Chinese - The traditional dish of New Year's Eve and there are plenty of places to get some locally. , and Fantasy Island, over the line, are just a few options.
4. Celebrate - will serve dinner and specials starting at 5 pm. on New Year's Eve. The Johnny Ray Band will start at 8 p.m. Hats, noise makers are provided.

5. Nightlife - If it's nightlife you are after on New Year's Eve, head to Salem. Bars will be open until 2 a.m. on Saturday.
