1) Newsbit of the Day: The SYSA U12 girls Whitecaps coached by Ernie Agresti beat Boxford 1-0 on Saturday which puts them in first place with a record of 4-1-1. Go Whitecaps.

2) Swampscott Athletes: 5 Bishop Fenwick High School students including one from Swampscott were chosen to compete in the Catholic Conference League Golf Championship Match on Wednesday October 24, at Gannon Golf Course in Lynn.

Team Captain Brian Burke ’13 of Swampscott was chosen along with Marblehead resident Will Vigneron ’14, Curtis Craffey ’15 of Lynnfield and Peabody residents, James Dellisola ’14 and Matt Garofolo ’15.

Bishop Fenwick completed their season with their best record since becoming a fall sport several years ago. 

3) Bit of Bill (Belichick): "What pleased me most probably was that we made decent steps with fundamentals and the foundation of the team."
