1) Newsbit of the Day: The Swampscott Police Association is hosting the Swampscott holiday parade on Dec. 15 at 6 p.m.

The parade route starts at Swampscott High, travels from Essex to Vinnin, Vinnin to Salem Street, Salem Street to Humphrey Street, Humphrey Street to Burrill Street, Burrill Street to Essex Street and ending at Swampscott High.

2) Swampscott Scholars: 2012 Swampscott High graduate Alexa Baldacci received the Nordin Family Scholarship.
