Heather Carr's fourth graders at the Hadley School recently watched with great anticipation as a student, Elliott, went for a record in the number of Oreos® he stacked for Project O.R.E.O.

1) Newsbit of the Day:  Principal Sandra Rivers tells us that Heather Carr's fourth graders at the Hadley School recently watched with great anticipation as a student, Elliott, went for a record in the number of Oreos® he stacked for Project O.R.E.O.

In the online project, classrooms around the world had each student in the class stack Oreo® cookies as high as they could. The classes then determined the average size of their stacks and shared it with thousands of students online.  In its fourteenth year, Project O.R.E.O. was hosted by California teacher Jen Wagner and is a fun and creative way to extend learning in math, science language arts, and more using Oreo® cookies!
