5 Things Including Athletic Fields

Selectmen will talk about changing the charge given to the Athletic Field Study Committee when the board meets on Wednesday.

 

1) Newsbit of the Day: Selectmen are scheduled to talk about changing the Athletic Field Study Committee's charge to also consider natural turf fields instead of exclusively artificial surfaces.

On Oct. 10, Selectmen Glenn Kessler and Barry Greenfield broached the idea of redesigning Phillips Park field space to accommodate two soccer/field hockey fields side-by-side. The fields would be turned sideways, lighted and separated by 30 feet

The board meets on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. at Town Hall.
