5 Things Including A Chicken on Parade

On Friday, Oct. 5th, the three first grade classes at Hadley Elementary proudly paraded their pets, real or otherwise, to the delight of the entire school, reported Principal Sandra Rivers.

 

1) Newsbit of the Day: On Friday, Oct. 5th, the three first grade classes at Hadley Elementary proudly paraded their pets, real or otherwise, to the delight of the entire school, reported Principal Sandra Rivers. As is customary, penny donations were accepted with the money supporting the Northeast Animal Shelter. This year, the first graders will donate $309.46, the most money ever collected for this charitable event. And this could be the first year a chicken took part in our parade.

2) Swampscott Scholars: SHS Class of 2012 graduate Ariela Solomon received the Hegarty Brothers Scholarship.
