Interact Band Show and Class of 2015 Comedy Night Should Not be Missed this Week

This article shares fun social events happening in the Swampscott Public Schools this week.

One of the best qualities demonstrated by students at Swampscott High School is their willingness to work hard to assist worthy causes.  This week, the Interact Band Show, provides an excellent example of this.  The High School Interact Club is hosting its annual band show Thursday in the auditorium to raise funds for Journeys of Hope.  Journeys of Hope is a non-profit that has assisted over one hundred homeless youth since founded in 2007.  Bands from Swampscott and around the North Shore will perform.  The event begins at 5:30 and tickets are available at the door for $7 or in advance for $5.  Pizza and baked goods will be available for purchase. Please come out and support the efforts of these wonderful students as they work to support a great cause.

Another fun event happening at the High School this week, on Friday, is a Comedy Night and Silent Auction sponsored by the Class of 2015.  Professional comedians will provide the night's entertainment and an array of items will be available for bids.  They include Red Sox tickets, museum tickets, restaurant gift cards, a week of summer dance camp, a fitness package, and even the opportunity to be a guest engineer for the day aboard a steam train. This event is for high school age and above.  Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.  Bidding starts Friday at 7 p.m., and the comedy starts at 8:00p.m. Proceeds from this event benefit the Class of 2015's senior year activities. Hope to see you there!
