Swizzles Frozen Yogurt Targets August Opening

The Vinnin Square shop has all its approvals in place and awaits completion of construction.

 

The owner of Swizzles frozen yogurt says the shop is about two weeks away from opening.

Owner Adam Kessner he won't know for sure about the grand opening for about 10 days.

"We are hoping to open on Sat. Aug. 4th," he said on Wednesday.

The shop is located next to  at the Vinnin Square mall.

Construction began in May.

Town Planner Pete Kane said Kessner has his approvals in place.

Kessner was seeking approvals from the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Health, as well as a common victualler’s license and outside seating approvals from selectmen.

There are several Swizzles open in New England.

Customers choose yogurt flavors and add toppings, paying 59-cents per ounce. 

The customer pulls the handle on the yogurt machine and spoons the toppings.

The store rotates through 25 yogurt flavors, with 10 available on any given day, including six standards.

A wall in the store changes colors while pop music plays.
