Girls Inc. 'Pop-Up Thrift Store' Opening Soon in Swampscott

The Girls Inc. 'pop-up store' will be opening on Paradise Road in Swampscott.

A Girls Inc. pop-up thrift store will be opening next month on Paradise Road and organizers are looking for donated merchandise ranging from clothing and accessories to home decor and furniture.

Donation and collection days will be held Wednesday June 25 through Friday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the store, located at 450 Paradise Road, next to Chipotle (former bookstore location).

The store will open July 9th and will be run entirely by volunteers.

"I am hoping that this event is a success primarily in raising money for Girls Inc but also in bringing the community together for a fun way to raise money," said Swampscott High School student Nikki Rose, who is helping organize the effort.

What do you think? Will you donate some unwanted items?

We have a pool pump and diatomaceous earth filter that is in fine working condition but we filled in our pool so together they are worth hundreds of dollars if not more but we have no use for them now. Is that something that would be accepted in the store? I am sure we have more that can be donated. What a great thing to do, I want to totally support it!!
